Hi and welcome to my blog! My name is Samantha and I live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am new to writing a blog but I am planning to use this as a platform to share some details of my life, my infertility struggles, and my new business journey, but first I'm going to share a little with you about how I got here.
Well, I'm doing it. I'm all in. I've left my day job. I am following my dream of building something of my own that will focus on women's wellness, training around periods and endometriosis, and pre and postnatal training. Up until recently, something always held me back. That "something" can also be described as fear, money, worried my husband would resent me for losing my income, and instability. After some changes at my job and many, many, many discussions with my husband about my path forward he encouraged me to consider stepping away from my corporate role, and a typical 9-5 job and really focus on making this dream a reality for myself and our future family.
That day job I spoke about a moment ago was a corporate role as a Director of Operations for a software company in Knoxville, TN for almost 5 years. While I enjoyed my time there, truthfully I've never been fully fulfilled by climbing the corporate ladder and did not necessarily view that lifestyle as "success" for me. After battling endometriosis and infertility over the last few years I started to realize there was a huge gap that I could fill. Staying active, motivated, and comfortable in your own body is extremely hard while battling something so significant. Endometriosis, infertility treatment, and IVF are so hard on your body. Hormones play such a huge part in how we feel, how we look, how we feel about how we look, how our clothes fit, our motivation, etc... I went from about 140 pounds to 155 pounds in about 5 months. I got to where I truly didn't recognize my own body. I realized that I wanted some help staying on track, and continuing to move my body and there's no way I'm alone in that. Starting this business and this blog will hopefully help me stay on track, while also providing an opportunity and resource for others that are in my shoes.
So here we are. I've made it to the point of building out my business, juno strength, while I continue down this path of IVF and infertility treatments. I'm looking forward to sharing every step with you guys!
